Verizon is offering Google AI Pro free for six months to eligible customers—a $119.94 value compared with Google’s $19.99 monthly list price. The useful part is not just a chatbot upgrade: the current plan includes 5 TB of cloud storage, higher Gemini limits, and AI tools across Google apps.

The offer was announced October 14, 2026, and is available in the United States now. It is not automatic, however, and it becomes a $10 monthly Verizon perk after month six unless you cancel.

How to claim Verizon Google AI Pro free for six months

Start in the My Verizon app or at Verizon.com—not through a link in an unexpected text or email. Open your plan, find Services & perks, and look for the Google AI Pro promotion. The offer should show a $0 price for six months and the price that follows.

Before tapping enroll, confirm these four items on the offer screen:

  1. Your line or home internet account is marked eligible.
  2. The promotion says six months at no extra cost.
  3. The post-promotion price is $10 per month.
  4. The Google account you want to use is a personal adult account.

Verizon’s current terms list Simplicity, Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus, and Unlimited Ultimate mobile plans. Eligible home plans include several 5G Home, LTE Home, Home Internet Lite, and Fios plans; Classic Standalone Fios is excluded. Verizon’s promotion language also says this is for new Google AI Pro perk enrollment, so an account that already has the Verizon perk may not qualify. Treat the signed-in offer as the deciding answer because account eligibility can vary.

After enrollment, Verizon sends you to Google to register the membership. Finish that step: billing starts when you enroll with Verizon, but access begins only after registration with Google. Then open Google One and verify that the membership and 5 TB storage are active.

I could not test enrollment because it requires a consenting eligible Verizon account. The steps and limits here come from Verizon’s current announcement, support terms, and offer pages rather than a simulated checkout.

What the free Google AI Pro offer unlocks

The strongest practical test is a task that uses more than one benefit. Gather three non-sensitive files for a real project—a product manual, your own notes, and a comparison sheet—and upload them to Gemini. Ask:

Compare these files, list every disagreement in a table, cite the source file for each point, and leave any unresolved conflict unanswered rather than guessing.

This shows whether the higher-tier Gemini access saves you time while keeping the result easy to check. Google’s current Pro plan also includes expanded access to Deep Research, Gemini Notebook, Flow, and Gemini inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet, though features, languages, and rate limits vary. Our Gemini Notebook guide explains the research workspace, while Gemini Daily Brief is a simpler everyday use.

The 5 TB storage may be the quietest benefit and the most valuable one for a household with a large photo library. Google says plan benefits can be shared with up to five other family members, subject to its family-group rules. Do not assume that makes every account eligible: family members must use personal Google accounts, and some AI features are restricted to adults.

If you want a creative first project instead, try building a small interactive experience with Google Playground. It is a clearer way to judge the subscription than asking Gemini a question the free tier could already answer.

The catches before you activate

The headline savings compare six months with Google’s $19.99 monthly retail price; Verizon is not paying $119.94 in cash or applying a bill credit. After the free period, the perk continues at $10 per month unless canceled. Set a calendar reminder for a week before the six-month date and recheck the exact renewal date in My Verizon.

Existing Google One customers need extra care. Verizon says a paid Google One subscription bought from Google, Apple, or another third party must be canceled before setting up the Verizon membership. Existing trial value, discounts, or promotional pricing will not transfer. Canceling the Verizon perk ends access that day, and the ordinary $10 perk charge is prorated.

There is also a privacy handoff: Verizon says it shares your mobile number and/or email address with Google to complete registration. Gemini outputs can still be wrong, so verify names, dates, prices, and citations against the original files. Avoid uploading medical, legal, financial, employer, or other confidential records just to try the offer.

Verdict: Eligible Verizon customers who will use Gemini, Google’s AI work tools, or the 5 TB storage should claim this. Just verify the $0 offer inside My Verizon, resolve any existing Google One subscription first, and put the $10 renewal date on your calendar.
